Warning Date: 1:49 PM CDT on May 27, 2016

WarningSum:...Flash Flood Watch In Effect Until 8 Pm Cdt This Evening...

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southern Illinois...western 
  Kentucky and southeast Missouri...including the following 
  areas...in southern Illinois...Alexander...Jackson...Johnson...
   Massac...Perry IL...Pope...Pulaski...Union and Williamson. In 
  western Kentucky...Ballard...Carlisle...Fulton...Graves... 
  Hickman and McCracken. In southeast Missouri...Bollinger... 
  Butler...Cape Girardeau...Carter...Mississippi...New Madrid... 
  Perry MO...Ripley...Scott...Stoddard and Wayne MO. 
* Until 8 PM CDT this evening
* from 2 to 5 inches or so of rainfall has occurred over many
  portions of the region in the past 24 hours. In addition...
  scattered thunderstorms have begun to develop over portions of
  northeast Arkansas...far southeast Missouri and Illinois during
  the past couple of hours.
* Rainfall rates in thunderstorms could push over 2 inches an hour
  this afternoon. Even a quick inch or so of rainfall could cause
  major flash flooding impacts. Be prepared top move to higher
  ground if flash flooding occurs.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
